Na na na na, hey hey hey GOOOODDDBYE!
I’m a NYer who LOVES basketball. Unfortunately for me, I haven’t been able to cheer for my home team since the Patrick Ewing/John Starks era. I can remember as if It were just yesterday (1998 ) that the KNICKS had passion and fervor to actually play the game.
Remember that?
Picture it, 1998, it was the best of times - it was the worst of times. There they were, the middle of the playoffs, it was NY vs. MIA and as we know they were THE biggest of rivals at the time. Tensions were high and the natives were restless. Emotions got the best of folks and all of a sudden right there on the court a brawl breaks out. First came the smack talk then came the fisticuffs then came wee little Van Gundy in his wee little elf boots, trying to break up the fight. Unfortunately for him things didn’t go as planned, as he ended up on the floor, gripping for his wee little life on the calf of Zo Mourning.
Damn. Those were the days that the New York KNICKS stood for something. Those were the days that even though you knew the KNICKS weren’t gon win a damn thing, you sure didn’t mind repping your home team.
Things have gotten so bad that now (June 2008), I’ve started championing the underdogs in this seasons NBA finals, the arch nemesis to many a New Yorkers, THE BOSTON CELTICS♣. Yes folks, this is my team of choice, especially since Miami and Detroit have chosen to take early vacations. I want the CELTICS to cream the L.A. LAKERS. I don’t want KOBE and any of his little trolls to breath easy and take this series. No siree. I have no respect for KOBE, he’s a sucka and will forever be one to me. Especially after his little sexcapade in Colorado when he wanted to rat out Shaq Diesel for his indiscretions. BITCH MOVE that was. Then all of a sudden he got a tattoo, like he was hard and wanted to rep his manhood. Man pls. Weeny! And the Odom dude is really starting to get my goat! Lightbulb head.
DID YOU SEE THE GAME LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!!? Don’t call it a COMEBACK!
Umm, excuse Mr. Kobe,sir, ummm how was it possible that you and your boys talk all that smack and then loose while AT HOME ? Things that make you go hmmmm. To all those BlackBerry buddies, Bust it Baby (ATL), Eric, and the rest of you naysayers - Did I not tell you my boys will pull it out? HUH? Everyone was so sure that once LA got back on home ground they were going to pull off a definite win, ummm, NO! One more baby! One more is all my boys need to take this thing!
Parting is such SWEET revenge! You see what being cocky gets you Kobe. It gets you one step closer to playing with those cute kids of yours, sans the trophy. BIACTH! :*

I’ve comin to realize that the final are fixed!!! Maybe after that display of the refs cheating is the reason why my stomach is killin me the day after! PURPLE AND GOLD!

Oh stop the complainin! When the refs are calling all kinds of technical fouls and bullshit plays on us you guys are all smiles. But when your team just sucks ass becuase they can’t take their heads outta their asses, shit is fixed?!!! So sad. HATERS!
