You know, a little while ago I was on the blackberry messenger with the cuzzo (as usual), and we were talking about relationships with both family and men. We then broke to go finish off some things and as I got out of bed I passed a vase filled with lilac roses (which I purchased myself) and I put on some Raheem DeVaughn (CD1).

In the midst of my shower it dawned on me, that I don’t believe that I have ever received flowers from a man. I mean I’ve gotten that lame one rose shit (and that does NOT count)but I have never gotten an arrangement from a man just because.

WOW.

To some that may seem like a trivial issue but you know, when I think back on the men I’ve dated and the baggage they came with that I over looked, it is indeed an issue… wow.

I’m that independent woman, uh huh, yea, yea, yea, but damn, I’ve never had a man do for me the way that I’ve done for him and realizing that, kind of sucks ass. Big time.  [Read more →]

I seem to be really attracted to husky men. I mean I’m talking about six foot  three stocky dudes. I just noticed it today, every man I gazed at was SOLID… yumm.

Oh how times have changed. I’ve always gone out with men who were like six foot, but they were lanky and nerdy. Not no mo’!

OK. So, I’m sitting here crying and laughing,as equally hard to both and for various reasons.LOL.  I’m finally watching the Sex and the City movie and have just witnessed the funniest juxtaposition. 

It’s the scene where Mr.Big calls Carrie on their wedding day to tell her he can’t do it. He can’t find enough courage to go through with the ceremony. The tear jerker: their vehicles pass midway in the street, stop, she runs out towards his car, bouquet in hand, decidedly annihilates him with it - screaming how hurt and humiliated she was. OMFG! I felt it. I mean, I literally had to freaking take a deep breath because as a woman in todays society, as a single woman, I’ve felt that pain and anx. Her pain was palpable. Damn.

 The funny part : after they tell him to stay away from her, the little skip-hop Charlotte does in her oh so grande couture black frock. I mean, typical Sex and the City. LOLOL. Funny shit man!  [Read more →]
